The people on this planet are as far from Vulcan as possible -- everything is everyone's business, emotions are on display everywhere, everyone wants to hug everyone else all the time, etc. There is almost no vegetarian food suitable for a Vulcan diet. Kirk and Spock are between missions, and are holed up in their little San Francisco apartment, and it's a lazy, rainy Sunday morning, and Kirk wakes up to Spock making breakfast in the kitchen, and Kirk wanders out there and wraps his arms around Spock (who has his back to Kirk) and starts nuzzling the back of Spock's neck and planting kisses. And then possibly sex (but I'd like it without sex as much; that would be just as good) and cuddling." This is shameless, unrepentant, unapologetic shmoop. But it's relatively short shmoop, at least. I have to limit myself or I will write stuff like this forever and I will forget what "plot" means.

SUMMARY: For prompt: "AU: Spock was raised on Earth with no Vulcan influence in his life." This is another of my long pieces that got way out of hand before I could battle it back into submission (in fact, I think it's even longer than Filial Piety). It's also my first AU in the Star Trek fandom and deals with the idea of a more humanized Spock with far less control over his telepathic abilities. There is also, as the rating states, some very brief disturbing imagery in this one, so folks who are easily triggered may want to tread carefully.

I kept trying and trying to get a really protective!Spock going but Kirk kept getting equally protective. Also, this got disgustingly shmoopy and sappy. I'm hoping it's not too terribly out of character for either of them.
